Starting Base Salary: $37,440/year + Excellent Benefits Package

The Russell County Public Service Authority is currently seeking a dependable, motivated individual to fill an opening for a Field Laborer serving the Castlewood and Dante areas. This is a full-time position offering stable local employment with a competitive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to, the general maintenance and operation of the existing water distribution system and sewer collection system, such as:
- Performing regular water meter readings.
- Collecting water and wastewater samples for regulatory compliance.
- Repairing water line leaks and maintaining system infrastructure.
- Installing new water and sewer service connections.
- Participating in a rotating schedule for required weekend and holiday work.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Teamwork & Autonomy: Ability to work effectively both within small groups and independently with minimal supervision.
- Water Systems Experience: Prior experience in water systems or water line installation is highly preferred.
- Equipment operation: Experience operating heavy equipment or holding a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred, but not required.
